The concert “A Weekend in New York” performed by the National Academic Wind Orchestra of Ukraine invites listeners on a musical journey through one of the most vibrant cities in the world. New York appears here not only as a geographical space, but as a symbol of diversity and continuous creative movement.
The lively rhythms of Broadway, the jazz clubs of Manhattan and the polyphony of the streets, where cultures from all over the world intertwine, will be combined with the symphonic scope of the orchestra. A special place is occupied by bright saxophone solos, which will give the music a characteristic New York freedom and sensuality.
The works of Philip Spark, Roberto Molinelli, Jan Van der Rust, and Johan de May will reveal different images of the city — from romantic and lyrical to grandiose and dramatic.
“A Weekend in New York” is an opportunity to spend a musical weekend in the heart of the world’s cultural capital!
